Catrin Llwyd
Welsh artist, living and working in Cardiff, Wales. (Born in 1988)
I am a painter working primarily with watercolours, gouache, and oil paint. My work is driven by an intuitive fascination with place and nature, often depicting seemingly empty buildings, wintry forests, and the luminous presence of the full moon. Through painting, I seek to explore what is unseen—something just beyond the tangible—allowing space for multiple narratives to emerge. Working from life and my immediate surroundings, I capture the spontaneity of the moment while also observing the passage of time, returning to familiar places again and again to witness their subtle transformations.
